Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh was born on September 26, 1974 in Rochester, New York and is considered an agressive poker player, although he changes it up to keep opponenets thinking. Arieh is known to be a tough high limit player. Josh has been competing in poker tournaments since 1999 and has played poker in the Atlanta area for over 12 years
At the 2004 World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event Josh Arieh finished 3rd taking home a $2,500,000 prize. Josh also has a World Series of Poker title from the $3000 Limit Texas hold 'em event in 1999 where he won his first WSOP bracelet and $202,800. Josh picked up a 2nd place finish and $89,700 at the 2000 World Series of Poker Pot Limit Omaha event. Josh won his second WSOP bracelet and $381,600 at the 2005 World Series of Poker, $2,000 Pot Limit Omaha event.
Josh Arieh had some bad table ettiquette and was made out to be the "Bad Guy" in the Main Event of the 2004 World Series of Poker when he verbally lambasted Harry Demetriou after an important hand. After Josh was eliminated, a microhpone caught what he whispered to David Williams, "bust this motherf****r," referring to eventual champion Greg Raymer. Josh has since apologized for both incidents.
