Mel Judah aka: "The Silver Fox"
Mel Judah was born on October 8, 1947 in Calcutta, India but has lived in Australia, where he learned hairstyling and currently resides in London, England. In England, he worked as part of Vidal Sassoon's team styling big-name Hollywood stars. He then opened his own salon in London's West End.
Mel Judah has been nicknamed "The Silver Fox" which he shares with poker player Peter Costa.
Mel won two World Series of Poker bracelets - One in 1989 in the $1,500 Seven-Card Stud event winning $130,800 and in the 1997 $5,000 Seven-Card Stud event winning $176,000.
Judah won $579,375 for the 2003 Legends of Poker title on the World Poker Tour. Mel Judah made the final table of the 1997 World Series of Poker main event, coming in 3rd. Judah also finished 4th in the 2006 Poker Million. In recollection of the respect Judah had generated within the game, he was asked to direct the new European Poker Masters tour in September 2006, Europe's first ever independent poker tour that was produced by the team behind The Poker Channel. Judah worked as a hairdresser for several years, which he believes has allowed him to understand players' psychology better.
Mel Judah is married with two children.
