Ted Forrest
Ted Forrest was born on September 24, 1964 in Syracuse, New York and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ted Forrest is regarded as one of the best stud players in the world. He may not be quite as formidable in Hold'Em as he is in Stud games, but he has still won several hold'em tournaments.
At the 1993 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Ted Forrest won three bracelets in the $1,500 Seven Card Razz event winning $77,400, in the $1,500 Omaha 8 or better event winning $120,000, and in the $5,000 Seven Card Stud event winning $114,000. Forrest would then focus full time on cash games before he made a return to the WSOP by winning 2 bracelets at the 2004 WSOP in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event winning $111,440, and in the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event winning $300,300.
Ted's first three bracelets were stolen and he gave one of the remaining two to his daughter with the other one safely locked away.
Ted has made 4 final tables on the World Poker Tour and also won a championship on the Professional Poker Tour.
Ted has been a part of a group of poker players who put their money together to play Texas billionaire Andy Beal in a series of very high limit, heads-up, Texas Holdem games, with limits ranging anywhere from $20,000/$40,000 to $100,000/$200,000.
Forrest competed in the second season of Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament, where he advanced to the quarter-final stage.
Forrest won the annual National Heads-Up Poker Championship in March 2006, when he defeated Erik Seidel, Chad Brown, Ernie Dureck, Sam Farha, "Sheiky" Shahram Sheikhan and Chris Ferguson to win the $500,000 first prize.
Ted also won $1,100,000 at the Bay 101 Shooting Stars Tournament in March 2007, when he outlasted J. J. Liu in the longest heads up duel in World Poker Tour history.
