I'm not sure if there's a strict checking of age in gambling online simply because it's easy to tell a lie in the internet.

I believe in the staements cliked yes to when signing up. gets the books off the hook that it is on you if you are not of age.
But I am sure it is getting more srious in the states.

Basically, the new laws make it illegal to gamble online, but the way the government is enforcing it is by denying the use of American bank issued credit cards or bank accounts. If you're really serious, you get an off shore account going and play through it.

Anything to do with laws is hard to enforce online. With everyone from all over the world able to take part in anything that is available online, millions and millions and millions of people, it's going to be hard to enforce.
