Website Update – New Functionality

You may have noticed some changes and improvements on PokerDIY over the last month. As you know, PokerDIY is and always will be an evolving work of art, dedicated to helping you manage your league and home poker games.

To prove our commitment to your cause, we have implemented the “Request a Feature” area where you can now let us know exactly what you would like to see on PokerDIY, and what would be useful for you and your league management. If there is something stopping you using PokerDIY then let us know what would change your mind!

For example, a recent user request was to have an RSS feed for Upcoming Public User Events. For example, if you have a game that you need more players for, you can set up a public event and all those users in your area who have subscribed to your feed will be notified. Another request was for better filtering on the Events page. The good news is that we have listened to your suggestions and these features and a LOT more are currently under development on our development server being stress-tested as you read this.

Please note that you can use the Events functionality completely separately from the League functionality if you wish. The Event software has been in place for a few months and there are quite a few private events going on behind the scenes.

Another new area is the Tutorial section. We have scoured the net for useful articles to put all the information you need in one place. Please let us know if you have a question or would like a tutorial on something and we’ll try to help.

We’ve also added a new item under our Resource menu – an article on RakeBack. If you don’t know much about this and play online a lot, you could be loosing out on some valuable extra cash – have a read about what RakeBack is and how it can help you.

We’ve also started a Poker Links section. We are accepting high-quality, reciprocal, but mainly useful links here if you would like some traffic to your site. As you can see we pride ourselves in our clean, minimalist design and want to keep it that way so that we can concentrate on functionality. We dislike these plagiarized, cluttered, affiliate sites as much as you do!

That’s it for now… if you are not using PokerDIY for your home poker games yet then you should at least try it… you won’t be disappointed.

The most common question is “When is the League functionality going to be ready?”. The software is looking good but we need to make sure the first version is robust and that we have met the base requirements (more on this later!). We are hoping to have it up and running in the next 6 weeks. In the meantime, if you are waiting on this you can either sign up so long, OR just leave your email address with us and we’ll notify you when the first version is live. Please note that you can use the Events functionality completely separately from the League functionality if you wish. The Event software has been in place for a few months and there are quite few private events going on behind the scenes.
