Add Guest (with no email) option for Poker Leagues

You can now add Guests to your poker league. You may want to use a Guest if the person does have an email address (or want to use it for privacy reasons, even though they are never shown on PokerDIY). Another use might be if a person plays once and never again. You can add them as a Guest instead of a normal user – all you need is their name or nickname.

This feature was long overdue – most of the other poker league sites have this feature but it kinda got left behind on PokerDIY for one reason or another.

One thing to bear in mind when adding a Guest is that because they have no email their is no way to contact them or send the league report updates for example. They will not be able to log in and change their name or profile pic. It really is just a name, although they will have the complete player stats and a profile on PokerDIY.

Note: If a Guest wanted to “claim” their account for whatever reason, they would need to send an email to the League Owner who would need to approve it and let us know. We can then update their profile, they can request a Forgotten PW and they are no longer a guest…

What other features do you need for your league?

Note: If you are integrating with Tournament Director, Dr Neau or Simple Tourney Manager, and you need to add guests (ie. players with no email addresses) – you will need to add these to your poker league FIRST (using the method above) and THEN do the import and match up those players.

You cannot add guests as part of the import process from TD – add them each manually first and then match them up.
