The record for the largest pot in poker history was November 16th, 2009. It was a pot-limit omaha hand between Antonius and Isildur1, the hand took place at a $500/$1000 heads-up table on Full Tilt Poker. Both players went through the flop with minimal betting for the stakes, the turn brought an Ace of diamonds. On the turn, both Antonius and Isildur had aces up with Queens. In addition, both players had gutshots but Antonius also had flush drawing giving him a 25% chance to win. Isildur had just a 12.5% chance to win, with the most likely outcome being a split pot. All the money got in on the turn after multiple reraises, the pot reached 878,959 dollars. On the river, Antonius spiked the 8 of diamonds and hit his gutshot. He took down the the nearly 900k pot and made history.
