Professional Poker Player Frank Saulle AKA The Trapper has decided to enter the next major poker tournament event to hit the calendar. Why? Well, Saulle got extremely lucky, and he has decided it’s time for his first big tournament.
How did Frank Saulle get lucky? Well, he was playing a 5/10 live game (No Limit Texas Hold’em), when the game started to die. Saulle's $1000 starting stack grew to about $7000, and he ended up 3-handed. Two guys Black and Hopkins, both had about $3k, when Saulle picked up KK UTG. Saulle raised it pre flop, and saw a re-raise and another re-raise ahead of him. Saulle knew one of them had Aces, thought about it, but decided to push his hole stack. Both players Black and Hopkins called Saulle's pre flop All-In and when the cards were flipped over, Both players Black and Hopkins had pocket Aces. The flop came Jh4sTs, not looking good for Saulle. The turn was way better, an off-suit Qd, giving Saulle a straight draw, giving Saulle an extra two outs, now Saulle didn’t want a King, he needed a nine, Well, you guessed it. Saulle hit the nine on the river, scooping the $9k+ pot. Bad beat for Black and Hopkins, but hey, thats poker.
When asked, Saulle stated, I can’t fold pocket kings pre-flop in a cash game. Frank Saulle said he is investing part of that money for any major tournament and hope to do as good as he did here tonight.
