I like to have a few drinks when playing home games with friends or playing online. I try not to get drunk until after I win my buddies' money. |

It's always fun to have a few drinks when playing poker with friends. I like to play poker online late at night and pick off the drunks that are throwing their money away. Late Friday and late Saturday a lot of recreational poker players are online playing and quite a few are drunk I'm sure. Don't drive drunk and don't drive a computer drunk if you're going to play poker. |

I just got knocked out holding pocket aces vs 3 7.
I think I'm ready to get drunk now lol

hahaha I can agree with you 100% You play more aggressive with booze in you and people know your drunk live so will call with more hands. In the end you usually have drank way too much and are down lots of money :P |

6 small bottles of bear with you just to relax with and enjoy the game without getting drunk they are just there to make me feel good in bad beat decisions a little sip of a bud makes the world of difference |

I drink sometimes when I play poker, but only Coca Cola or something like that. Not alcohol. |

Yeah, sure I do. I have a few drinks.. but NEVER too many to throw me off of my game.. Thats what you have to rememember to be an effective player. |

It all depends on the game and the stakes. Any thing over $20 for a buy in, or live game I do not drink, even a few will take the edge off my game. under 20 then its more like old home week, play to have fun,

Yes I agree lots of alcohal and poker do not mix but I just drink a few sam adams or blue boom |

I usually drink when I play however it gets me into trouble sometimes because I'll play much looser than I should. |
