Keep an eye out for the tutorial coming soon on PokerDIY - how to set up and host your own poker game from start to finish!

It is under development at the moment, but you can expect great things like how to set up the blinds, finding players (with PokerDIY's help of course ;) and all the little things that need covering when hosting a home poker game!
    thanks,
    Rodney

When when will this be ready? i want to see it. I would say as a suggestion print out an "honor code" and have everyone sign it as a matter of form. A friednly game is a famous reason people end up in small claims court over brken windows and asault charges. Obviously not every time, but when people mix gambling and drinking there are problems sooner rather than later.

Yes, that is a good idea - I normally only play with close friends but I guess you normally play against people you may not know well.

Unfortunately this is a few weeks away as I am concentrating on functionality for a while instead of content (next version of Games/Groups/Leagues).

    thanks,
    Rodney

    Hi All,

This is focussed mainly on the home poker players, but it may be useful elsewhere. Basically I am trying to make PokerDIY more useful by writing a series of guides on HOW to start your own Poker League (with PokerDIY's online software making it easier).

So, I started off simply - a printable ebook (it's only a page ;) to help you set up your first home poker tournament. This is more aimed at beginners (you know, the ones who say "what have I got" and try to work out if a straight beats a flush, or what exactly a flush is!

As an incentive to being a PokerDIY member, it is only available to download if you are logged on (you can read it online, but i'ts designed to be printed so it looks a bit strange). I would really appreciate some comments on it! You can see it in our new "Getting Started" section (it gets it's own menu as it will be expanding soon). Constructive critisism needed...

    thanks,
    Rodney

It's about time, this venture into DIY's BS about setting up your own home game was a waste of time and energy.  DIY should be embarrassed. Why would they advertise a service that is virtually impossible to set up.  Pound sand!!!!!

Just do it! Its easy to overthink something as simple as a poker game.
