    Cool Idea

Sometimes is a pain find out the shows with some anticipation or you end up missing it because general TV listings mix all upcoming events.

Great list!  Now if I can just remember where I saw the list in the first place then I will never miss another poker show.  Does anyone else feel like they learn as much as I do from just watching?

Very true, sometimes I was wondering that only watching poker TV shows we can follow the masters and understand they moves for improving our skills.

I like watching the real players, but all the celebrity things right now are becoming pretty boring.  Some of them seem never to have played before and it gets pretty laughable ...certainly not very informative.

I just found a website listing the best poker TV shows, at the editor's consideration:

    • World Poker Tour and the Maverick Syndrome
    • World Poker Tour and Texas Hold'em
    • World Series of Poker
    • NBC's National Heads-Up Poker Championship
    • NBC's sixty-four player tournament
    • ESPN's Tilt - Poker TV

There are some decent ones around ...recently I was watching some of the old WSOP shows.  There was some great poker and it didn't matter in the least that it wasn't current.

While I certainly don't mind watching poker on TV, I don't go out of my way to do so.  There's a combination of reasons, but a major one is that because the hands shown are selected by the program producers to show action that's often mandated by the sizes of the stacks and blinds,  it's easy to be tempted to play hands I really shouldn't.
