there are different types of gambling. some are legal while some are not legal.
In the U.S. even the state government supports 'gambling' of some sort. The lottery, no?
They support it because they get huge tax revenue out of it :)
I guess in moderation it can be ok. But some people cannot do moderation...
it's like alcohol: if you can't keep a grip on it, don't use it.
