Does anyone have any lucky charms that they always play with? I notice that people at the casino have a lot of little things. What does everyone have?

When I just began playing poker (and lottery), my lucky charm was a rabbit foot
Today I can showcase a number of lucky charms that could sound impressive since some of them purchased at esoteric and metaphysical stores

I've always wondered why the rabbit foot was ever considered lucky. It's so gross - it's the foot of an animal. Anyone know the legend? (that's not to knock you, I've just always thought that lol) And a glass frog, how fun! That makes sense to me cause of the frog into prince thing!

Wasn't very lucky for the rabbit, eh?
I don't buy into "lucky charms." I've never been superstitious.

I think that the lucky charms simply give people more confidence and therefore a better presence. Usually they have some fond memory or situation attached that helps the holder.

I agree. It's funny ...I don't have any lucky charms but there are some things I own which I swear are unlucky! If I remember to not wear them ...especially jewelry ...I'm luckier at the table. It's weird. |

On the flip side, their are things I own (clothes, jewelry) that make me feel like I can conquer the world when I have them on or with me. I guess that's what makes it a lucky charm.
If you don't have a lucky charm, do you have a lucky habit - ie the same seat, a certain way to look at the cards, a way to lay out your chips? |

I'm like that with some clothing too, but I don't seem to ever be wearing it when I play poker.
No habits other than knowing where my cigarettes are! |

My lucky charm needs to retire. It's not been doing its job lately. I have an old 1960's happeewee doll I keep tucked in my purse. :) |

my advice is that if any of you need any lucky dime or rabbit foot or anything like that to keep you comfortable at the table DONT get into poker... it's really a game for people with strong minds it's not for babies who can't sleep without their teddies when the lights are off... that is ofcourse that whoever is reading this realizes that there is no such thing as a 'lucky charm'.. can be something cute though..:) |

I think it's more superstition than actually belief that an object is a lucky charm. Sort of like if you wore a certain shirt when you had a big night's winnings ...so you do it again. But, I think in some ways you're right that it's a game for those with strong minds ...and stomachs! LOL |

My bracelet given by my grandmother served as my lucky charms since before. Others may not believe it but everytime I wear this bracelet, it really gives me luck. But my grandmaother told me to wear it only during special ocassions. |

Hello xeric!
I'm curious to know what kind of lucky charms you're hiding at. Would you mind to share? |

I'm always curious about lucky charm things. Is it lucky because someone gave it to you and said it was lucky? Or do you just sense it is lucky? |
