at the casino I play in there is a non smoking area and now they are not allowing players to chew tobacco at the table. Whats next no drinks in teh card room. They are taking the smoking ban a little to far. |

yes but its getting a little crazy. If you offend one person of 200 in the place they make you stop doing it. Its a joke. There are certain places I wont go to because the people who run always cave to the locals on rulings and dumb requests. If they spitting into a cup or bottle and not being messing whats the promblem. I rather see a guy chewing then smoking a cig. |

I must agree with you vicki
I'm no smoker myself, but even though I like how tobacco smell, I can't stand when someone is chewing and spitting, matter of lack of manners. |

lol lack of manners. Again why should he care what you think? he might avend by spitting into a cup? I think as long as he is being clean with it he or she should be aloud to do it. |

Um, ew. I dont' think I could handle sitting next to someone chewing a wad of tobacco. The sound is repulsive and distracting. I'd rather sit next to a smoker. |

The problem with chewers is that I've yet to see one who understands that there's residue left on their lips and teeth after they spit. That drooling brown spittal is just about as disgusting as it gets. If I can't smoke at the table, I don't think they should get to chew. |

I find chewing tobacco repulsive and I don't think I'd come back to a game where someone was chewing and spitting ... gah! |

And, it's so popular especially since all the smoking ban laws took effect. I smoke, and I don't get the switch over to chewing or dipping. |

have you ever thought it could be a pretty nice tell for the other players if your chewing would stop/change when you look at your cards on when something else happens in the hand? thinking about it now it could also disguise panic swallowings.. :).. anyhow it's best to look as tricky as possible and if you're not very good at managing your emotions you'd rather struggle to learn how to be a 'statue'.. |

I better not play with gamblers who are chewing tobacco at the table. They are disgusting to look at. I remembered my uncle. He used to chew tabacco but he's not a gambler. |

Pretty soon no food or drinks at the table. If people are allergic to perfume, hairspray, etc., that might have to go for the ladies. I used to smoke, but I quit so it's not a problem for me. I do feel for the smokers that choose to smoke or chew tobacco in your case. It's a free country, but not so free to do what we want all the time. You're better off without the tobacco anyways. Try some nicorette gum maybe. |

No chew at the tables, they might as well go with no gum at the tables as well. Sitting next to some one smacking, chomping on their gum is almost like a cow chewing on its cud. Then there is drinking at the tables. some one slurping, and chugging down a drink, come on.
Point is you sit down at the table to play poker. Its your money on the table, if some one wants to chew, more power to them, or gum....drinks, and eats....
On the flip side of the coin....it is a free country, and the casino owners also have a right to ban products, and sort.

I banned consumption of anything in my garage that requires spitting shit in a cup! That includes sunflower seeds! |
