Do you have any rules in terms of how much people can table talk at a game or what they can say? There's nothing worse than playing with someone who sometimes says what they have outloud as a "strategy."

yeah we hate that you are not alloud to talk about your card that you had outloud if you are out of the hand if it is heads up the players left in the pot you can try to goat a call out of him with some trash talk

there are certain guys who I will never bet if its me and them in hand heads up in a cash game. one guy was my grandfathers buddy and i dont want his money and we check out of respect but he will tell him to watch out not to paly verse him lol every one laughs because the guy plays every hand and i am not kidding he once called 5o hands in a row pre flop

We don't have any rules, per se ...but it's a group who's known each other for a long time.  A couple of times we've had 'guests' or 'visitors' who trash talked or just rattle on too much.  They don't get invited back either.

Glad you aren't at my table with the trash talk lol.  I understand on the other ...I don't like that either.  The last hand is the last hand ...long gone.

Trash talk is enjoyable in certain poker tables, while a disaster in others. It's all about where are you playing at with whom, however troublesome when involves your hand in others' mouth

It would be my luck to be at a table with someone wearing head phones who is listening to rap ...if I had to hear that repeated, there's no idea what I might end up doing.  LIke upending the table or something lol.

I think it's sort of hard to set rules for table talk, but we sort of let new people know that we aren't a talkative group before they play the first time. It gives them a heads up and if they don't like it, then they might be happier with another group somewhere.

How about talking through sign language. I've seen people doing such thing. Unfortunately, I'm not good at sign language.

Using sign language because they're deaf or just using it as a means of communication that's quieter? Hmmm.
The people I loathe are the ones who have win because everyone else folds and they proceed to tell you what cards they were holding. Anyone believe them even 10% of the time? LOL

I was playing in a money table at PKR... this PokerRooms seems a chat line, people play there to meet other people and flirt... I get in with 5$ and left the table in 1 hour with 34$... they were all interested in flirting each other, and played so bad... sometimes trash talk at the table is good for collecting money LOL...

You're right ...there are times to take advantage of that. This morning I was playing online and everyone save one woman was very quiet. sunday morning early just with coffee ...who wants to talk? She was talking so much and she just kept raising on lousy cards ...we all won off her until she got mad and left. Didn't get mad because she was losing but because no one would talk to her! LOL.

I think they must make something like a private chat or that you can only chat to 1 people at the same time and not to everyone thats playing. Or the guys that fold can talk to each other and the guys that are still playing. That should be the best I think.

I don't like it when a flop comes and someone says that they just folded that. That is definitely annoying for our home games and we implemented a chip penalty because it happened quite a bit. Now that everyone knows the rules it doesn't happen anymore.
