We have discussed here, at PokerDiy, about rules, etiquette and behavior of players at the poker table or playing online.

I believe this is a very good summary of all them, check it out: www.thepokerforum.com/behaviorrules.htm

He does have a good point about checking out an all in hand.  I think it's courteous to not about it in front of the guy that can't put in anymore chips but that doesn't mean I won't try without talking about it.

I see this quandry quite lot playing online, and I've gotten a little hardened to the guy who is low on chips.  Sure, I feel for them, but at the same time, if I have a change to build my own chips up after some losses, I'm not going to start getting weepy for a guy who is nearly broke.  It's been me from time to time!

Some courtesy is nice, but vicki is right, we've all been in that position all too often to be overly sensitive about it.

Some how or another I left the word talk out of this comment.  It should read, "I think it's courteous to not talk about it..."  I meant to convey that it's nice to be nice but it's still every man (person) for himself.  I need to learn how to type.

LOL on the typing.  I know all about that!

I just think it's best online to not get involved in a lot of the usual 'good hand', 'well done', etc.  I find that some people just don't want to interact and if a couple of people at the table absolutely insist on interaction after a hand, they get chapped if others don't respond.  Sometimes, you just don't want to talk!  And I don't think you should have to either.

Good thing that typos and mispellings only occurs while typing because it could be costly while playing a hand

Yes, there are those "chatty Cathy" types who just can't accept that people may not want to type back. It's okay to try to initiate chat but let it go if people aren't interested.

I was in a room earlier today with one of those.  Not only were we hearing her life story, but she was hitting on two guys at the table.  Unfortunately for the rest of us, they were enjoying the flirting lol.
