I know there was another thread about this but instead of asking if you use it I would like to ask if you are willing to give it a try.

Is anyone willing to listen to my propaganda?

I have played with 4 color decks online but never tried at the poker table. I'm a little old fashioned offline when I'm offline.

Yeah, most people are old fashioned when it comes to things like this.  I'm going to take that as a no.  Anyone else?

Here
is what I use.  The red on the hearts is the prettiest red you've ever seen on a playing card.  This picture doesn't really do it justice though.  I'll see if I can find better pictures of the cards.

The cards are pretty but also pricey.  I'm not certain I understand what the attraction is other than just being pretty to look at.  I like playing fast so that would probably elude me ..especially at $20 a deck lol.

Interesting link and really would like to see a better quality pic, when the deck is unusual or pretty enough it worth the price, especially because it's Christmas time, we deserve a poker present too.

Thanks nonlocal.

Maybe that is the reason why people are afraid to try color decks, lack of enough pictorial information.

Cards wear quickly enough (especially from my manner of shuffling) that I can't see spending too much. I like a nice crisp deck every now and then and I'd rather keep paying a buck or two for them!

YOu and me both!  If someone gives me really nice cards, I tend to toss them in a drawer and not use them.  It's like they're too nice!

Yes, I have a few decks of cards that are like that (collectible items, or high quality). I end up putting them away and forgetting to use them at all. My Lord of the Rings theme deck is like that.

I used to travel a lot and I really miss the decks I would always get on either Pan Am or British Air ...they were great poker cards and I had scads of them.  Hard to get them anymore.

I have some vintage decks, included some that belonged to my grandmother, who introduced me to the game.

Such decks never go to the poker table, swear it!

I am just so used to the regular deck it might take awhile for me to get used to a 4 colour deck. I like the red and black just fine really. If the 4 colour deck helps you online that's great too. That is good if you have the option online to choose what you want to use.

Unfortunately the 4 color decks do not seem to have taken off. I bought two sets of the cards and most players I have shown them to and tried to introduce them into the game did not like them. I prefer them. I think, like any other change, it just takes using them more frequently to get used to it. I think once everyone started using them they would not want to go back to the two color system.
