Hi,

Yes it is, but only on the version of the Group module I am working on now (the same applies to Events, User Directory and Event Guests. They will all have templatable user lists so you can show any extended profile property you like, but this will only be live in a week or two. I am 90% finished with development but I want to do some more testing etc.

Yes. I'm interested in DNN Dev. I also posted in Smart-Thinker about this. That's good to know that your working on it for easy customization of the group module. It would be great if the default layout is similar to the website I posted here. List of features in Group module that is cool are:
1. Display the picture or logo of the group, website and total number of members.
2. Display new members which the number of displayed members can be customized (i.e. 5 new members which can also be change to 10 new members) .
3. Display the picture and name of the users in the member list page in x number of columns by y number of rows per page.

All these suggestions sound like great improvents to our forum. Just can't wait for them!

 

It would also be nice to allow Avatars in the forum itself - it would help in remembering each user and give us a way to express our personality a little bit!

Originally, I was sort of opposed to avatars in forums, but now that I've gotten used to them, you're right about memorability. It's sort of nice, and people get pretty creative!

You guys are right - it would be a great addition. I hate to say it but the Forums software I am using is a little limited but I am going to try and find out if it can be done (you would think it was a pre-requisite for Forum software ;)

I'm working on the League module at the moment, and then will look into this...

Out of interest, I am dogfooding the next version of the Groups module and you can see the profile images in action here...

The League and Events module will have the same functionality soon...
