The best place to start would to go to the Poker
Groups page and search for the name of your town or area (or by country). There is a chance that other people in your area are also looking for home poker players!
If there is not one, then set up one up for your Town. Make it as descriptive as possible and then when other players search on Google (and elsewhere) they will find your group and you, and join. This is how it starts and I have seen many successful games organised like this.
Once you have some people in your group, you can send them Private Messages (individually or your whole group) and start talking - you can then find out what the others want (or post on the Forums like you have done, but the Groups work best!)
Another option is to set up a
public game for your area. It will get a lot of exposure (be as descriptive as possible) and you can see who is interested...
