You're right mtajim. It commonly happens anywhere even in sports betting. Sometimes it's hard to control our feelings and emotion. And to be a loser is not easy to admit especially if it's all about money matter. |

I see it online quite a bit, but usually it's because someone is sandbagging. Anyone else think that sometimes online play is more polite? |

I think sometimes that emotions run a little heated from the high tension and anxiety of the game. Still, people need to control themselves. |

If it involves money, it quickly becomes more than a fun game for some people. Taken too seriously, it ruins a session for everyone. |

Fortunately, it seems that the majority of rude actors either lose more than they should or don't win as much as they could if they were capable of staying on an even keel. |

And why do think that is, mtajim? I don't see that many people fighting because good croupiers toss them out or people ask them to leave a game. YOu don't see that sort of monitoring? |

Fighting always starts because of desperate people who don't know how to accept lossing a game. I guess it's hard to control temper in time of losing bucks and earned nothing. |

my favorite fight is someone calls another guys bluff with a high card or low pair on the board. "How the hell did you call that you idiot, You dont know how to play cards!" I always pick these guys out and try to suck out on them the rest of the night. Maybe he called you because he had a feeling that you were trying to make a play. Its always to see what is going to happen at the poker table. |

Sometimes those types are fun to fool with over the course of an evening. It all depends on how they handle a bad beat. Often they just can't control their temper enough to settle down and make a comeback from it. |

It was difficult for my cousin to deal with a drunk poker player that's why it usually ended up fighting. My cousin was jailed before because of fighting with a drunk poker player. But I'm glad because he learned a lesson from that fighting. |

I've never had much of a problem with fighting because I limit the alcohol and if you are a poor loser you aren't going to be asked back. Those two things have pretty much kept things peaceful. |
mtajim wrote Many people get rude after they loose and start quarellling and fighting , last night i was in a club and one guy loosed and started fighting with his partner , i mean thats just to mannerless
Such people are mentally ill and i think there should be some restrictions or these people should be treated strictly . Games always teach us patience . |

Most people can control their tempers, but why on earth would you think that is a sign of mental illness???? Patience is a virtue, not something mandatory. |

Vicki, In this day and age no one is a poor sport or a bad loser. Those things imply the person must take personal responsibility for their actions.
A mental illness on the other hand isn't their fault. We must be tolerant of them and excuse their behaviour.
No one is a jerk anymore. They are mentally ill!
If you think you can see me rolling my eyes, you are correct. I am! |

In that case, there's always an exemption. I've encountered many mentally ill gamblers is some casinos. |

LOL Accer ...you're right. It is never a person's own shortcomings ...and it is usually a function or non-function of the government, right? Everyone likes to blame the government! |

Blame the government. Blame your mother. Just don't blame yourself!
Yesterday a story broke about the Indiana University Dental School. Seems that more than half of the students there have been caught in a cheating scandal. Their excuse, as presented by the school, is that it's George Bush's fault.
I'm not kidding. You simply can't make something that stupid up.
So when you get people who never learned to be a good sport about losing, don't be shocked...it's a sign of the times. |
