It's not only important to be a good winner, it's also important to be a good winner. To many people are just plainly jerks when they win. |

You that old saying 'if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything'? I think it's really a good rule in poker lol |

I've just seen my major typo. The comment was supposed to be "It's not only important to be a good loser, but also a good winner". Sorry, for the mistake. |

Oh, I understood what you meant.
I read an article the other day about how children are no longer being taught to shake hands and say good game after a sporting event. What's with that???? |

It's very important to know that if you will win or lose in a certain game. Proper attitudes and behaviour must be observed. Other player will be impressed if you'll behave well after winning. |

I think if you win graciously it will make others want to play with you again. Let's face it, who wants to be around someone that acts like a total jerk. Regardless of whether they have won or lost. |

You're right Fizz. If you're a good sports, other poker player likes to have fun playing with you in the next game. Winning graciously will challenge others to play poker. |

Not to beat a dead horse, but I like how you said "challenge others", I couldn't agree with you more. If I've had a good time playing with someone and they beat me, I want to play them again, but I also want to beat them, the fact that they won our last game challenges me to play better. |

There's nothing worse than a smart assed winner. Well, maybe a terrible loser, but a good winner does make you want to stay at the table. I think I see more bad winners online though than in real life. |

I think the anonymity of being online makes some people act different then they would in real life. Like it gives them a license to behave badly. I've seen that lots of times, especially with people that I believe are doormats in their real lives. |

For me personally I don't mind if there are colorful winners or losers at the table. I enjoy a Phil Helmuth or a Mike Matusow type player at the table just as much as a quiet Chris "Jesus" Ferguson.
Me, I am more like a Daniel Negreanu, although I don't talk as much as he does, and I don't let a bad beat get to me and I don't get all excited when I win. I take everything in stride.
Although, don't keep me to that if I ever win the WSOP. I may have to get just a bit excited.
