I'm no genius when it comes to texas hold'em but it is the only game I have played a great deal. Can anyone recomend any other poker games to learn that have similar tactics as NLTH so that I don't lose all of my money when I try to learn some new games?

Every game has its own characterisitc differences, and there's also the matter of your style to take into consideration.  Omaha high is reasonably close to NLH if you're relatively loose and thus like to play a fair number of hands at NLH, but may not be as easy to adapt to is you're TAG.
