Welcome to the PokerDIY Forums, where you will meet some great fellow poker players and have a home to discuss all things poker (freerolls, bonuses, home poker games, poker rules etc.)

The first thing to do is to personalize your profile a bit by filling in your forum profile and update your profile avatar and signature. You can do this by clicking on "My Settings", which looks like a cog in the icons above. Read more about how to change your profile pic here. You can see my ugly mug on the left of this post, but you can put up any (decent) pic you want!

When using a Forum, it's always polite to introduce yourself first. This just lets people say hi and you can meet our moderators (who really do a fantastic job in keeping the Forum clean, but fun (we don't tolerate any of the bad "isms", like sexism, racism etc.) Bear in mind that the Intro Forum is moderated, so your post will not appear until it has been approved (the other forums are mostly unmoderated so they appear instantly).

Once you have done that, feel free to join in or start a discussion! The main forum is the General Banter Forum (this is better than a Major Catastrophe). Use this forum for any topic that does not fit into the other more specialized categories.

To see ALL the forums you can post on, go to the main overview page. At the very top you will see a heading called "All Public Forums". This is a handy overview of ALL recent posts from all forums, compressed into one view. It's sometimes fun to browse through the topics here and join in when you find something that interests you.

The forums cater for all of our PokerDIY members - we have some players who only like online poker, and some who are only interested in home poker games. We also have a couple who like Poker Freerolls (who doesn't!), so familiarize yourself with the forum layout so you know what's what (but feel free to post wherever you like!).

For example, we have a section dedicated to home poker players and home poker games called "Live Poker".If you want to know more about how PokerDIY can help you manage your poker leagues and games, check out the "PokerDIY Services" forums. You can use the forum to arrange a live oker game, or perhaps you want to ask a question about actually hosting a home poker tourney?

If you like your poker freerolls then keep an eye on the Tournaments forum, and especially our PokerDIY Freeroll League forum which is exclusively for the freerolls we run for you guys! If you are looking to improve your online game then check out our Online Tips and Strategy forum.

Some people like to get a bad beat off their chest (I am always moaning about loosing with hole pocket rockets!), so check out the Bad Beat forum. There are a couple of other forums too, so make sure you check them all out to find the one that matches your topic. If unsure, chuck it in General Banter and it will be moved if necessary (our Admins are a great bunch, and super nice, so don't worry ;)

To find out more about the PokerDIY site, check out the various features on offer (all for free of course!).

I hope that helps you find your way around a bit! Don't be scared to ask questions, there is no such thing as a "dumb question"!

Happy posting - shuffle up and deal!

    thanks,
    Rodney
