    Tactics final table

    <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message -->
    Hi gents,

    Here is my question, as yesterday I managed to get final table and won yhe mmt, I noticed some flaw in my tactic which I used during the tournament.

    We were 4 players remaining, I was chips leader with 20 % compared to 2 and 3 and 40% of the 4 player remaining.

    My probleme is how to play stron hand during this stage ! I had lot of pocket pair and AJ/AQ/AK but each time I raised preflop (X3-x5 blind) all players fold. I only played 2 hand over 8 strong hand !

    Should I just call the blind and let small and big blind see the flop or just get the blinds ?

    This is something ,I did yesterday all the time, I got the blinds but I felt I could do better with those strong hands.

    Actuaaly, what is the tactic at final table which work ( against conservative player)

    All advices are welcome !

    As chip leader, the straightforward tactic against conservative players is simply to bet out with any decent hand, and depending how conservative they are, with more than that, especially when you've reached a final table or late enough where the blinds (and antes if any) are worth winning.   You can't force them to play with you when you have a big hand and are in a position to win a a big pot.  What you can do is take their chips anyway by winning a bunch of small ones.

    I agree it can be difficult but keep getting to the edn table and practising different styles of play

    Actually, it's pretty easy to practice by playing SNGs.  They're somewhat different; e.g  everyone has the same starting stack, and the payouts can affect the pay as well.  However, playing them for practice is still way better preparation than just playing MTT final tables when you happen to reach them.

    For me the best way is play tight..

    When I have a average stack is there no action needed.. Steal low pots.. and with good cards rais or reraise all inn :)
