I played this tournament @ cdpoker which is a great place to play poker. I came second place in a tourny and won $900.00 and  then guess what? Went on a rampage and lost it all.

Yes my friend, I kinda guessed what the answer was going to be there   :(

I have been there, done that, wore the tee-shirt and paid back the overdraft!!

Not everytime will be such bad news, but it goes to show what a terrible thing over-confidence can be.

Next time if you start to lose a big chunk of your bankroll, just cut your losses and maybe fight back another day...

Now then, time to read my own advice and take heed!!!!

Take care, and don't be too despondent!!

I have done that a lot of times. As soon as I win a big hand or place in the money, I get a little too over confident and start playing over my limit and in-turn at those higher limits I am playing against better players. It's a good way to learn a lesson though. The question is, when will I ever learn?

i can believe it, i recently took at $1.88 win from a freeroll up to $47.75 and lost it all in 3 ring games. lost most of it on this hand AK big preflop raise get one caller. flop is AAK full boat yes. decide to slowplay when guy goes all-in on me, instant call from me at this point. guy shows QQ and catches Q Q on turn and river. really how can you even defend against that kind of bad beat.
