Hi all,

I'm a bit of a newbie and wanted to ask something bout the texas holdem rules.

I've learned how to play poker at www.learnpoker21.com and now I use the site to improve my skills.

Anyway, I've encountered a situation in which there was a bug and was wondering who was supposed to be the winner of that hand...

The comunity cards were: 7-7-6-6-4.

I had 4-9.

Other play had : K-3.

Who is the winner? 7-7 and 6-6 belongs to both of us.

Now, do I win because I have a pair of 4-4 or does the other player win because of high card K?

Thanks for your help...

:-)

Hi and welcome!

77 66 with the K kicker would be the winner because you use 5 cards to make the winning hand.

Yea,

That's what I thought.

And what happens if you and the other player both have the same "best hand" is it a tie?

Thanks for your help...

Yeah, if you had a K also for that hand, you both would have had 77 66 with the K kicker, it would be a split pot and you would both split all the chips in the pot.
