Hi,

I am experimenting around with Google Translate and have added some flags on the home and forum page (see the top of this page on the right). At this point you need to be logged out to see them. All it does is pass the page over to Google for on-the-fly translation.

I need some feedback from users who might use this feature - if you are French, Spanish, Italian or Swedish, please log out and go to the home page or forum and click on the flag of your language to switch to it. I am curious to see what kind of job Google does on translation - does it make sense? Is it useable or just a gimmick? Should I roll it out across the whole site for all users and more languages?

Your opinion is appreciated!

thanks,
Rodney

Hi Rod,

I just keep an eye on the french translation:

Of course it's not perfect (especially with the poker expressions) but we understand the essential.

Don’t forget to water the plants !!

Ok, so I guess the question is, in your opinion, does it provide a valuable (or useful) service to non-English speakers, and should it remain on the site, or is it just gimmicky?

thanks,
Rodney

I set italian language, it's a wrong translation, not useful for me.
