The 2008 NFL season is here (started tonight) and I like to wager money on a few games each week. Week 1 of the NFL season can be my favorite at times because you can pick up some good odds, but it can be unpredictable too because it's a brand new season.

Well, week 1 in the NFL is in the books and here are the results of my picks and the corse from the games...

I went 9-6 with my Week 1 NFL picks. (My correct picks in bold) Not a bad start to the season, but not a great start either. I hope to do better in Week 2

New England lost QB Tom Brady in the 1st quarter and still managed the win, unfrtunately for me they didn't beat the spread.

but 'american' Football is not very popular in Europe, we prefer Soccer and Rugby.

Yeah, I know the NFL isn't liked all that much outside of North America, although NFL Europe had an ok run . Perhaps those games were attended by Americans living in Europe. There may be a few people on that side of the pond that like the NFL though
