I recently blogged about the fact that PartyPoker want to charge me $4 to "reactivate my account" as I have not used it in 180 days. Do you think this is acceptable? I find it shocking and will be closing my account and no longer promoting PartyPoker on PokerDIY. What do you think?

Definitely SHOULD NOT have charged you $4 for being inactive. Bad move on their part. An email reminder that you have been inactive should have been all they did.

Personnaly, i never have had problems with Party Poker but for sure i would be unhappy if they do the same thing.

I take it this is something new that PartPoker added because I never heard of this before. I don't think they are going to keep many players if some players go away for a few months and come back and they've been dinged several times for being inactive.

Instead of being called PartyPoker, they need to be called PartyJoker.

I guess they didn't want to stoop to Absolute Poker or Ultimate Bet level to make some extra money from their members, but pretty close.

This stinks, but it doesn't surprise me. I've heard of it happening to other people and they've closed their accounts as well. You'd think Party Poker would do all it could to retain players instead of driving them away with this dodgy charge.
