We usually play for pretty modest amounts.. Casually, we don't go over 250-300 bucks. Some people play with pennies and nickels and dimes.. What do you guys use?

I'm do better playing for smaller amounts because I'm more comfortable. I've played in games that had a $10 buy-in, and I'd go as high as $20 to play, but I wouldn't go up to $50. Especially right now. My wife is worried about our money, and I'm lucky if I can sneak $5 for a game!

Our home games are pretty laid back, with a $10 buy in.  Thou I find us going more and more to a live game style in which each chip is .25 and the max buy in is $5.00  which gives you a stack of 20 chips.  you can rebuy if you get down to 6 chips or less.  Blinds are always 1 and 2. This works great if we have 6-9 people in our home game.  you can play all night on $20 bucks, (most can)  I normally walk out ahead on the night.

when we get a larger group we to the Tournament style, with the live game on the second table for the players that bust out.  that way the early and mid busts are not sitting around, waiting for the next game to start.

ive never played... but im thinking to begin, ile stick with the nickels & dimes... heck... im considering pennies right now.  Nah... that's really really bad... i wouldn't go over a $20 limit though... not until i know what im doing - no matter how terribly skilled i am.                 

i'm playing every week with my friends The amount is 50 E entry to every tourney. We are like 8-10 ppl that we'r playing and yes , we have alot of fun

It just depends sometimes we play small buy in tourneys or decent sized cash games where people walk out with $700 or more.

Typically, my mates and I play for 5 or 10 euro.

Never more than 20.

we never play ring games always tournee,

usually around $20 - $40

2nd place get money back,

1st takes the rest.
