I think we need to get a move on the effort to legalize the video poker machines in bars. Then everyone can share in the gambling riches, not just rich out-of-state casino corporations. Why not have a slot machine on the SEPTA bus, think of what the could do for our tax problems. Better yet, maybe the state could just install slot machines in everyone's homes and adjust their taxes based on how much they play the slots. This is a win, win, win! And Atlantic City's real problem is the recession and Delaware's ability to handle sports betting since Federal Law bans it in almost every state with Delaware being the exception in the Northeast. An act of congress would be required for New Jersey or Delaware to handle sports betting. Pennsylvania gambling will always be low-class and I'm from PA. Atlantic City has an ocean and a beach which could be awesome. They need to make the town a real destination like Vegas. That's Atlantic City's competition.
