Re: Poker Munchies
I like chips, peanuts, and sometimes pretzels. I might take a veggie tray next time just for something different. I am a fan of anything that is finger food and won't get the cards greasy. The drink of the night is usually beer or sodas.

Re: Learning the game: Which is best live or online?
I am going to have to agree with elBlandie. I play online but I prefer to play live games. I learn so much better from watching others and then playing as I go. It helps me because if I do have questions I can get feedback from other players right a ...

Re: What other games do you like to play?
I am a black jack girl. I love playing it and spades. As far as video games I don't really get into those too much. I used to be a big splinter cell and vice city player. The only pc game I like to play is the Sims.

Holding out?
The more I play the more I find that I less likely to fold if I feel like I have a remote chance of winning. When I first started playing I would fold early if my cards didn't look good enough. Occasionally holding out has paid off in the end but so ...

Re: What is the biggest buy in you have ever played?
The biggest for me is $10. I know it shouldn't even be considered big. I am still learning the game and for me that was huge haha. I managed to win a few hands but that was about it. Actually it didn't change my style of play. I am an aggressive pla ...

Re: Real or Fake Money
I take way more risks if it is just play money. Since I figure I don't have anything to lose. I have found that I have won bigger hands like that. When it comes to real money I am always more reserved. I have never lost a lot simply because I know w ...

Re: Who are "My Friends"?
Thanks for the update. That is definitely going to make getting games together a whole lot easier. Will there be a limit to how many groups you can create or is it unlimited? Being able to rsvp for a game is a lot easier for me. I don't like to wait ...

Re: Interested in starting a league
I can't wait to see the new features with leagues on this site. From what you described I think it will make starting one a lot less complicated. I like the iea of being able to send out invites like that. At least from there I can figure out exactl ...

House Rules?
I have never hosted a game but have been to a few. I know there is a basic setup on how the game is played but what happens when there is a dispute. I sat through a good 15 minute argument over a hand that ended up being misplayed anyway. Atleast I ...

Re: Teaching a newbie
I am fairly new to the game and my friends had to be patient with me. I had never played before in my life. I learned more from watching until I felt more comfortable to actually join in. They took it easy on the first few hands. I didn't do too bad ...

Re: Legality and prizes
I think you might be fine as long as it not some huge sum of money. If you want to play the safe side do prizes. When the local back woods casinos opened up around here they say you can win "prizes". I don't think you can ever go wrong like that.

Re: Card design
I never knew that you could get monogrammed cards. That would be a great gift for a friend of mine. I think he lives and breathes poker. Do you know the name of the website or company that offers that? It would be cool if you could design your own p ...

Re: Hello Everyone
Hi and welcome to the forum. I am still a newbie and it is good to see another newbie around here. I love playing as well and have only recently managed to win a few dollars. What kind of home business do you run?
