Re: How do Games work?
This is a great idea and something I really haven't seen on other sites. It's a nice service for those looking for players or to let others know about their game. I like that you can make an event for a game that is online, too.

Re: Poker Calendar
I've been wanting to tinker with the calendar but didn't want to post an event as I have nothing on the horizon. I will try it out as a test. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Home game players
Poker doesn't have the stigma that it once has that's for sure. We usually have friends over to play poker with us. It's usually just a small gathering. Lately I've been thinking about opening up our game and inviting some new friends into our game.

Re: Texas Holdem No Limits - the only game in town?
I think because so many celebrities play Texas Hold em that it really helps with its popularity. If celebs are playing then television shows are very interesting in showing it. It is fun to watch.

Re: Trash talking and egging on
I'm not a fan of trash talking either. It's so unnecessary in my opinion. Let your poker playing do your talking for you.

Re: Setting up a Tournament?
I've learned a lot through Slowpokerplay.com. They have some great advice for setting up your home tournament. I like their idea of placing a "bounty" on a player who has won a tournament several times in a row.

Losing with a good hand
I've lost a few hands that were very good but not good enough. It's heartbreaking to have a decent hand for once only to have it beaten by a better hand. What is bad is when the hand that you have is the best hand you've seen all night so you think ...

Re: Playing online poker after a night out
I never play after drinking. I can barely think much less play cards. Drinking at first makes me happy then makes me sleepy. It's usually a short night after I have had a few drinks.

Re: Any omaha players out there?
Omaha does sound fun. There are so many poker variants out there. I think I'm going to mention to my friends that we need to branch out and play something different when we play.

Re: Card design
The site that I'm thinking of using is Yourplayingcards.com. The demo makes the webpage simple to use and customize your cards. I think this would make a great gift this holiday.

Re: Best site to start practicing at?
I like to play at pogo.com. It's just for fun but is a great way to "get your feet wet." Pogo.com is a very reliable site and has been around for quite sometime.

Re: Best time to play online poker?
I would think at night there would be more people playing just because there would likely have more free time then. I've noticed some other online games have much less people playing during the day.

Re: Real or Fake Money
I play with fake money as I don't feel I have the experience of enough online play to fee comfortable playing with real money. Maybe one day I'll move to the money tables.

Re: What other games do you like to play?
I really enjoy other card games like Rummy, Hearts, and Rook. I also love to play video games especially on the PC. In our house we'd rather play games than watch TV.

Re: Card design
I think personalized cards are a great idea. I saw one website recently that took orders, but I forgot the rock bottom number of decks you had to buy. This would be a good gift for the holidays.
