I have never engaged in any betting whatsoever. It seems like a huge risk. I have to learn more about it before I can get into it. This forum seems to be the right place to look for information.

there are different types of gambling. some are legal while some are not legal. In the U.S. even the state government supports 'gambling' of some sort. The lottery, no? They support it because they get huge tax revenue out of it :) ...

We visited Vegas once. I only played on the slot machines. Did not have the guts to play at the tables. Don't know enough to risk money on it. I did watch though.

That is what worries me a little :) I don't really like betting of any kind, and I wanted to find out if ALL poker players bet when they play.
