Re: Which online poker?
It seems like players have one site that they're loyal to and that's it. I wonder how companies that are starting out get new players? It seems like a lost cause.

Re: Online chatting during play
I love it that so many people have opinions on this. I thought I was the only one and it's nice to know that I'm not!

Re: PLaying in casinos
No, I disagree. I think that reading faces is still extremely important because they tell a lot. Have you seen the latest Bond? All about the tell - but it was a psyche!

Re: Weak cards
Anything that's not a pair below a ten. I just think it behooves you to wait it out for the face cards - but sometimes, once in a blue moon, I'll play a random to shake it up.

Re: Top Ten Poker Books
They need to write a book called ShutUp and Play cause it seems like the people that do all the research and talk are the ones that like to talk instead of play. :)

Re: Sandbagging
Madhatter, I am impressed that your grandmother will play poker. That is a good tip - play with older people losing their mind. And play for a lot of money. (that was a joke - please don't barrage me with morality responses, I repeat it was a joke)

Re: Evaluating sign-up bonuses
Honestly, I have yet to find a promotion that's really worth it. Most of the sign-up bonuses are stupid because who really cares if you get fake money for signing up your friends, etc. etc.

Re: Are you in favor of gambling?
Where do you not have to pay taxes on slots? I figured that's why they have those little point system cards, so the government can keep track of what you win. I sometimes wonder if it's impossible to hit a jackpot if you don't have a card in.

Re: has any one played in a bar league
Cool. Well, as always, if everyone else is drinking at your game, make sure you're not. I mean, sucks, but lets be honest - how many people have blown a game cause you were ripped?

Re: Which online poker?
That's so true! I can't tell you how many times that happened and at first I thought it was because my computer was old but then I got a new one and sure enough, kept happening. It's infrequent but bothersome.

Re: do you use a cut card in your home games?
There are ways to shuffle and cut so the bottom card doesn't get exposed. You're right though, if you are all talking and no one's thinking about it, it can be seen.

Re: Co-ed?
It's a strategy play. Why do so many guys put on Halloween masks of Brad Pitt at the table? Strategy.

Re: Online chatting during play
yeah, I feel that it's a forum for those people that love to tell you how to play and why you shouldn't have beaten them. Who cares why as long as you did?

Table talk
Do you have any rules in terms of how much people can table talk at a game or what they can say? There's nothing worse than playing with someone who sometimes says what they have outloud as a "strategy."

Re: How much do you play for
I'm curious about the buy in. Do you agree that if there is a buy in option, people will go all in as much as possible before the deadline hits? It changes play strategy a lot.

Re: Smoking cigars
Yeah, cigarette smoking is disgusting and not allowed but the smell of a cigar is typically nice, sort of vanilla. I've only ever heard of one person who hates the smell.

Re: Co-ed?
I think that sometimes it can be distracting to play with a mixed audience but on the other hand, playing the part of the damsel in distress can be a great strategy!

Re: Online chatting during play
Okay, so everyone who's actually playing the game turns it off. Then why on earth is it there? Maybe the strategy can be, anyone who's chatting clearly doesn't know how to play.

Re: Sacramento Poker Ladies Wanted
Tahoe has alot of casinos, I was really surprised. It's a really nice environment, very pretty town. Skiing, poker... great vacation spot.

Re: throwing chips towards you on a call
What do you mean that it's time tested? From personal experience or is their an article or study or something on it? If you have the link, I wouldn't mind reading it.
