If you do a Google search for home poker games there are all kinds of sites devoted to registering and listing people looking for games and games looking for people.  I also think Meet Up has a poker group in just about every city.

Re: It takes all kinds.
Does anybody else really use their online poker site for networking?  When I sit next to someone in real life I have no problem getting to know them but online the games go so quickly I don't really see the point.

Re: Four Color Deck
Yeah, most people are old fashioned when it comes to things like this.  I'm going to take that as a no.  Anyone else?

Re: Shaking hands
I think my ultimate goal with "practising" poker is to act exactly the same at the table as I do all the time.  I prefer to think about the long game.

Re: No Poker Face
That's exactly my point.  I think everyone gets caught up in the idea they have to be in control of everything all the time, themselves especially.  I see so many miserable faces at poker tables I just want to pat them on the back and be l ...

Re: How would an online gambling crackdown affect live/home poker games?
I think the issue with online poker (like most commodities) is about taxes.  The government has always liked to regulate anything it can make money from or at least it's backers (i.e. corporations) can make money from.  You're only in trou ...
