David Chiu
David Chiu was born on August 23, 1960 in China. David eventually came to the United States and became a professional poker player. Chiu currently resides in Rowland Heights, California.

He took what he saw and learned while being a dealer, and used it to his advantage. David talks about his time as a dealer, "I was a poker dealer at the Gilpin Hotel in Black Hawk, and I would see how people reacted to their hands, the way they looked at their cards." he says, "A lot of people squeeze their cards when they really like their hand. I paid attention. I tried to turn my hearing weakness into a strength."
David's big win came at the 1996 World Series of Poker (WSOP) when he won the $2,000 limit hold'em event and he has won 4 bracelets at the WSOP; the 1996 $2,000 Limit Hold'em winning $396,000, the 1998 $3,000 Limit Hold'em winning $205,200, the 2000 $5,000 Seven Card Stud winning $202,000, and the 2005 $5,000 Omaha Hi/Lo winning $347,410.
David Chiu won the first Tournament of Champions in 1999 at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas, securing his place among the world's top players. He went home with a new Lincoln Town Car and a $214,542 cash prize.
David Chiu also finished 10th in 1996, 55th in 2004 and 416th in the WSOP $10,000 no limit hold'em main event.
