Joe Hachem
Joseph Hachem was born November 3, 1966 in Lebanon and moved with his family to Australia in 1972.
Joe had a rare blood disorder and he decided to give up his career as a chiropractor in 2002 and concentrate on poker.
Joe Hachem's big win at the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 no limit Texas hold 'em Main Event shot him up the money list with his $7,500,000 prize. In the final hand of the tournament (SEE VIDEO BELOW), Hachem made a call on a pre-flop raise from $300,000 to $700,000 with his 7c 3s to Dannenmann's Ad 3c . Hachem flopped a straight when 6h 5d 4d came and would go on to win the hand, along with the tournament.
Hachem finished 2nd in the $2,500 short-handed no limit hold 'em event at the 2006 World Series of Poker. Hachem would later take 4th in the $2,500 pot limit hold'em tournament. Joe would also go on to finish in 238th place in the 2006 WSOP Main Event and win $42,882.
Hachem would be in 1st once again when he won $2,207,575 and his first World Poker Tour title at the Bellagio Casino's Five Diamonds Poker Classic in December 2006.
Joe joins for others, Doyle Brunson, Carlos Mortensen, Scotty Nguyen and Dan Harrington as the only five people to have won the World Series of Poker Main Event and a World Poker Tour title.
Hachem also won NBC's Poker After Dark "World Series of Poker Champions II" and $120,000 going up against Main Event winners Doyle Brunson, Greg Raymer, Jamie Gold, Huck Seed and Johnny Chan whom he defeated heads up.
Hachem also won the PokerStars APPT Tournament of Champions in December 2007. The single-table tournament was composed of winners from all previous APPT events as well as Team PokerStars members including Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker and Isabelle Mercier.

- Introduced the phrase "Pass the sugah!" to the poker playing masses at the 2005 WSOP Championship final table
