Mark "The Shark" Seif
Mark "The Shark" Seif was born om October 4, 1967 in Cairo, Egypt and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mark Seif won two World Series of Poker bracelets in 2005 in back to back events, the $1,500 limit hold'em shootout where he won $181,330 and the $1,500 no limit hold'em events where he won $611,145. Mark had his first money finish in the WSOP back in 2003 when he finished 9th in the $3,000 no limit Texas hold'em event.
Mark went on to win the US Poker Championship in seven-card stud at the Taj Majal in Atlantic City, New Jersey later in 2005 as well as making the final table at the World Championship of Online Poker.
Seif is a commentator for the Professional Poker Tour television series which airs weekly on the Travel Channel. He is also a spokesman for Absolute Poker.
In 2007, Seif purchased a US Poker Bowl franchise named the Detroit Absolute Nuts, who went on to win the first ever US Poker Bowl Conference Championship.
Mark Seif is known for his bluffs and he says, "I've turned out more huge bluffs than probably anybody else in poker right now. You almost have to be in your opponent's realm of being. You have to become your opponent for a moment, be in his mind and exploit the weakness of his hand when you find it."
