Paul Phillips
Paul Phillips was on born August 9, 1972 in San Francisco, California.
Paul Phillips became Chief Technical Officer for Go2Net in 1996 and is also known as "Dot Com" for his success during the tech boom of the 90's.
Paul's biggest poker payday occured on Dec 18, 2003 when he took home $1,101,980 Five Diamond - WPT No Limit Hold'em tournament. His second biggest poker payday came on Sep 3, 2003 at the Legends Of Poker WPT Season 2 No Limit Hold'em tournament where he placed 2nd and won $293,550.
In early 2000, Phillips complained about the way the Horseshoe split entry money with players and casino employees which caused him to be banned from the World Series of Poker (WSOP). He was allowed back, but he only played one event in 2002 - the $1,500 triple draw lowball Ace to Five event in which he placed 2nd to John Juanda winning $24,820.
In 2003 Phillips didn't play in any WSOP events. He did take 1st and 2nd in two World Poker Tour (WPT) events. Even though he didn't play in the WSOP, Phillips managed to finish 2nd in the 2003 Tournament Poker Money List.
Phillips made three WSOP final tables in 2004, one in Omaha hi-lo split where he finished 2nd and won $82,580 and two in no limit hold'em where he finish 4th and 6th taking home $88,320 and $89,840 respectively.
Phillips has not played as many poker tournaments since 2005 to spend more time with his wife and two daughters.
